The Billion Bottle Project is the proud recipient of a 2016 Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) Innovation Fund Award. Started by former President Bill Clinton in 2007, the CGI U engages young leaders on college campuses around the nation to provide innovative solutions to global problems in five core areas of focus. CGI U Awardees attend an annual conference where they present their work and join a growing network of young leaders taking concrete steps to improve the world. The CGI U has awarded nearly $3 million in funding since 2008 and BBP is excited to use the funding it has received to further our sustainable clean waters efforts for the health of the global community. Look for us at the 2017 CGI U Meeting at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts on Oct. 13-15th.
